Our Metallurgical Philosophy

True Damascus steel is not merely decorative etched metal; it is a composite fusion of distinct carbon steels. We combine high-carbon 1095 steel—celebrated for its razor edge retention and hardness—with 15N20 nickel alloy steel—esteemed for its shock-absorbing toughness and gleaming silver contrast. The resulting pattern-welded billet combines the best of both worlds: unrelenting sharpness with high impact resistance.

Every blade undergoes precise thermal cycling, normalizing, and cryogenic oil quenching to lock in a Rockwell hardness of 58–60 HRC, followed by meticulous hand-grinding and deep acid etching to reveal the steel's natural topographical grain.

Hand-Hammered

Every billet is forged manually on anvils using traditional hammer strikes.

350+ Micro Layers

Alternating 1095 and 15N20 steels folded repeatedly for supreme edge retention.

Rockwell 58-60 HRC

Precision vacuum oil quench delivers optimal hardness without chipping.
